By the middle of the 11th century, most of the Nordic population was already Christianised. Crosses depicting the crucified are found among the Vikings much earlier. their style of depiction is markedly different from that of the rest of Europe. Here again, the distinctive hairstyle, hands tied with rope, trousers and an interesting element around the waist that looks a bit funny :)
