VIKING pendant - Mad Valkyrie from Lake Tissø in Denmark

9th-10th century, Tissø, Denmark . It is said that many sacrifices were found in this lake for the brave and righteous god Tyr.

The Valkyries take the fallen warriors to Valhalla - the hall of heroes, where Odin gathers warriors for the final battle of the so-called Ragnarök - the end of the World. Here these heroes serve Valkyries at evening receptions.

The eyelet for hanging is located on the back of the pendant.
