GREAT MORAVIA Ikonic Medallion Falconer from Uherské Hradiště

Replica of a medallion from the church in the Old Town near Uherské Hradiště, 9th century - Great Moravia, Czech Republic.

The spiral edge of the medallion is similar to the artistic elements found, for example, in Mikulčice. However, the depiction of the horse and falconer is similar in style and composition to the patterns on oriental fabrics. The dress of the rider is similar to the nobleman from the ends of Mikulčice and can therefore indicate to us how the nobles of the time dressed.

Unlike the original, our medallion has an added eyelet for hanging.
