Simple yet richly decorated closing box for needles, pins and other necessities is equipped with only textile string in the base, so it is up to you whether you thread it with a chain or a lantern or a delicate string. We also recommend putting wool, cotton wool or a piece of cloth inside the box. We offer this unique case in a gold plated brass version and also in a silver plated version. Anything from our range can also be gold plated on request.

Judging by the number of needle pouches found throughout the history of sewing, it is clear that needles were a great treasure for every woman to keep track of. Ornate cases made of precious metals and ivory, but also of leather, textiles and bone or antler can be found just about everywhere something was worn.

Our tip: Take a look in our shop for the necessary sharp scissors and pins. Whether you get our handmade bone, antler, wood, or brass pins, trust that we take the utmost care to shave the material so that they're fun to use and you can tackle any project! However, you need to keep in mind that brass is a softer material than modern stainless steel needles and needs to be handled with a little more care. When making the needle, we tried to find a compromise between strength and at the same time a thinness that doesn't leave unsightly holes in the fabric. We have tried them in practice and our wool and linen costumes are sewing great with them.
