An exact copy of a statue from around 1000 AD, found on the Eyrarland farm in the Akureyri area of Iceland. The find is part of the National Museum of Iceland.
The statue may depict the Nordic god Thor and / or may be a game piece in a hnefatafl game. Thor holds his Mjöllnir hammer here, carved in the typically Icelandic shape of a cross.
The statuette is smaller than the original, so it can be put on a string and worn as a pendant!
