This is a replica of the figure of a valkyrie from the Viking Age urn grave in Sibble - Södermanland, Sweden.
09th - 11th century.
The original is made of silver and exhibited in the Swedish National Museum.
The Valkyries take the fallen warriors to Valhalla - the hall of heroes, where Odin gathers warriors for the final battle of the so-called Ragnarök - the end of the World. Here these heroes serve Valkyries at evening receptions.
The eye for hanging is in the back of the pendant as on the original.
