Amulet Valkyrie from Birka, Sweden - bronze

The original of this replica of the Valkyrie was found by archaeologists in 2000. It comes from the Swedish Birka (Björkö) No. SHM 34000: grave Bj 825 and dates to the 9th - 10th century.

Thanks to these findings with human figures, we can get closer to the dress of that time. Do you see hair styling and mantle here?

The Valkyries take the fallen warriors to Valhalla - the hall of heroes, where Odin gathers warriors for the final battle of the so-called Ragnarök - the end of the World. Here these heroes serve Valkyries at evening receptions.

The eyelet for hanging is located on the back of the pendant.
