VIKING Silver plated ladies tortoiseshell brooches for apron

Smaller brooches from the transitional period between the Vendel and early Viking Age from the Norway, Sweden and Denmark site. I call them trilobite.. not sure why 😁 Maybe the metalworker also liked the trilobite motif he found on the coast and was inspired by them 🙂

It started out that way and bridged into sometimes monstrous extremely ornate pieces 🙂 .
